Shanghai-based design firm Studio Doho has revealed the design for the urban surf concept Poke Poke. Located in Shanghai’s Jing’an district, the 344-square-foot restaurant is installed within a former lane house refreshed with a gradient blue façade.
The modern eatery embraces the Hawaiian origins of its cuisine with surfboard-inspired countertops and outdoor bar counters that seamlessly flow into the ordering area, uniting the indoor and outdoor spaces.
The façade is clad with a gradient tile mosaic that transitions from ocean blue to white, reminiscent of the sea meeting the sky. Inside, the colorful material palette evokes simplicity to ensure a laidback dining atmosphere.
