Chinese restaurant Mott 32 has debuted its fourth location at the famed Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore. Hong Kong– and London-based Joyce Wang Studio crafted the eatery to reflect the Garden City’s colonial influence and lush greenery.
The façade puts a modern spin on traditional Singaporean shophouse architecture with timber slats and bank bar gold gates—a signature for the Mott 32 brand.
A decorative pagoda-inspired canopy punctuates the main dining room, while soft furnishings—like mint sofas and classic bucket chairs—further enliven the space. A custom chandelier composed of hexagonal shades is suspended in the center of the space, channeling North American–style industrialism.
The bar face is clad with ancient Chinese feather-embossed tiling, while overgrown plants populate the backbar. Opulence continues into the lounge area, where a grand peacock chair sits beneath large pendants with embroidered linen shades.
In addition to an abundance of greenery, the interior’s greenhouse-style aesthetic comprises a palette of earthy tones, including terracotta, teal, volcanic gray terrazzo, and rust.
