Marriott International’s Autograph Collection has expanded with the Roomers Munich, the brand’s fourth property in Germany. Located in the city’s emerging Westend, the hotel includes designs from Amsterdam-based studio Concrete that reflect the urban zeitgeist.
Interiors juxtapose natural materials, including wood, leather, and marble, with elements such as polished copper throughout public spaces. All 281 guestrooms and suites evoke a subtly layered contemporary décor with unique touches, as well as striking artwork. The unique eatery Izakaya Asian Kitchen & Bar is housed onsite along with the Roomers Bar and the 1960s-inspired Hidden Room. The fourth Izakaya restaurant to debut, this sophisticated space is anchored by a traditional Robata grill, while an intricate fish mobile crafted from beech wood floats overhead. The circular bar is stained black and features an onyx marble top.
Other amenities include the Roomers Spa by Shan Rahimkhan, which comprises five treatment rooms and a bar spread across 6,460 square feet. The spa hosts an infinity Jacuzzi, projection room, and daybeds. The hotel is also home to a 9,150-square-foot event space, in addition to two outdoor terraces and seven conference rooms.
