The Renew hotel in Waikiki, Hawaii has revealed its redesign and rebranding at the hand of Honolulu-based design practice the Vanguard Theory. The update focuses the 72-room property on local wellness that tethers guests more closely with the surrounding splendor of the island.
Midcentury minimalism and tropical modernism define the upgrade in homage to the natural color palette of the Hawaiian islands. Reminiscent of a modern apothecary, Renew’s revamped lobby and bar are reimagined as the kickoff point for guests as they begin their wellness journeys. An earthen color palette of terracotta, rose quartz, ocean blues, and sandy neutrals contrast sleek black elements, while details like custom rattan furniture and American white oak paneling complement the chic atmosphere through the juxtaposition of natural and refined materials.
Views of the surrounding city and sea are framed in the redesigned accommodations, some of which are even equipped with private lanais as well.
