Set for a November debut, the Doyle Collection teamed up with local firm Martin Brudnizki Design Studio on a renovation for the Bloomsbury, housed within in a 1928 Sir Edwin Lutyens building in London. The redesign includes the reception area, a guest lounge, and new hotel bar the Coral Room.
The entrance has been reconstructed into a more captivating glossy molded timber façade, which leads guests up original Portland Stone steps to the reception area designed with a residential feel translated through a soothing color palette of muted green and soft shades of pink and botanical print wallpaper that mix with the Lutyen-designed fireplace.
Five bespoke Murano glass chandeliers, custom made for the 2,100-square-foot double-height Coral Room, will complement a Calacatta marble bar top and a backbar featuring an antique mirror with brass details. British illustrator Luke Edward Hall will create 36 original artworks inspired by the hotel’s location and architecture of Lutyens that will hang throughout the interiors.
