Israeli hotel chain Isrotel has announced the reopening of Mitzpe Hayamim at the Sea of Galilee. Restored by London-based design studio ARA and architects Yehuda and Yoel Feigin, the property is the latest addition to the company’s Exclusive Collection, kicking off the rollout of 10 new hotels over the next several years.
Located between the historic pioneer town of Rosh Pina and the spiritual hub of Tsfat, Mitzpe Hayamim embraces the lush greenery and rolling hills of its 17-acre site. The $23 million upgrade pays homage to the history of the site with natural colorways and materials, as well as vintage furniture to balance the more contemporary elements of the concept. Ranging from 80 to 330 square feet, the hotel’s 115 accommodations are each crafted to evoke warm luxury. The new presidential villa also boasts a private garden, sundeck, and hot tub.
In addition to amenities like a library and ecological pool, wellness is promoted at the onsite spa, which boasts panoramic vistas and features 20 treatment rooms. A heated indoor pool is housed beneath a glass ceiling, while wet and dry saunas, fitness rooms, a relaxation area, and an outdoor Jacuzzi round out the venue. Additionally, the onsite Artists Gallery serves as a workshop for local makers and artists to display their work.
