Ian Schrager is set to expand the EDITION portfolio next month in the Turkish Riviera with the opening of the Bodrum EDITION in Turkey. The 72,200-square-foot Aegean retreat is perched on a horseshoe-shaped campus that slopes downward to a 350-foot-long stretch of beach via a path lined with guestrooms and bungalows.
Designed by the Ian Schrager Company and Christophe Pillet, the open reception space will welcome visitors within a contemporary glass atrium with seating enclaves as well as more intimate lounge areas. The informal lobby bar will serve as an ideal spot for both work and play, and will include a terrace that overlooks the coastline. F&B options will include Kitchen at the Bodrum EDITION and the Latin American concept BRAVA. The onsite spa will be outfitted with a Turkish Hammam, a salt treatment room, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, and 14 treatment rooms, while an infinity pool and garden lounge serve as additional points of retreat. The Bodrum EDITION will also host more than 4,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor meeting and even spaces including meeting studios and a ballroom.
All 102 guestrooms and suites feature warm wood finishes and airy fabrics to exude a laidback atmosphere akin to a beach house. Exposed to abundant natural light, accommodations will also boast stone floors, marble bathrooms and terraces, and a clean palette. The hotel’s private villa will include its own private pool area and sauna.
