HBA London has revealed its design for the new Amadria Park Capital hotel, located in the heart of Zagreb, Croatia. The former bank structure has been revamped into a boutique hotel with bespoke interiors that embrace both original and new elements, complementing the romantic Secessionist architecture.
The region’s bucolic heritage is referenced in both guestrooms and public spaces with floral details and an abundance of greenery. Public areas are adorned with classically carved mahogany-clad columns as well as details from drapery to restored vintage furniture beneath the high ceilings. Reminiscent of an intimate parlor, reception is anchored by two desks and a soft color palette that combines pale blue and gray with crystal and satin gold.
The upscale bar serves as a zenith of Secessionist splendor, complete with a marble-topped bar and a sculptural, tiled front illuminated beneath three contemporary chandeliers and an ornate ceiling. A soft palette is also infused across the café, which radiates a classic, European brasserie-style ambiance accented by illustrations by artist David Doran. Conceived as an indoor garden, the onsite restaurant is detailed with extensive greenery to offset the mahogany cladding of the original bank.
The residential-style ambiance is infused across guestrooms with a palette of pink, pale yellow, and blue, as well as contemporary Italian timber flooring. High ceilings and large windows pay homage to the region’s rural heritage, while artwork curated by HBA and Muzeo ranges from handwritten and illustrative pieces to inspired textiles and crafts.
