The all-inclusive Fusion Resort Phu Quoc in Vietnam has unveiled a series of new facilities following a property expansion led by Fusion founder and owner Marco van Aggele alongside chief design officer Remco De Hoog. The resort, which opened in June 2017, has added new villas, spa treatment rooms, a children’s club, and a formal function space.
Eight new villas join the resort’s original 97 private pool villas, with 25 additional units in the pipeline. Totaling a minimum of 1,378 square feet, the thatched roof accommodations pay homage to coastal living with the one- and two-bedroom villas framing views of the surroundings. Interiors reflect a natural color palette, and emphasize custom, sunken wooden tubs and floor-to-ceiling glass doors, which lead to private walled gardens, plunge pools, and floating hammocks.
The resort’s 120,660-square-foot Maia Spa & Wellness facility—the largest on the island—boasts six new treatment rooms, all of which are equipped with outdoor showers. Expanding the spa’s treatment room lineup to more than 25, the new therapy spaces also include a newly enhanced manicure and pedicure room.
