Led by architect Norman Foster of Foster + Partners and architect of record Rottet Studio, the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center has opened on the uppermost floors of what is now the city’s tallest building, and 10th highest in the U.S.
Inside, pieces by famous floral designer Jeff Leatham can be observed from the entrance all the way to the hotel’s lobby, where Tokyo-based studio teamLab‘s giant digital floral experience is exhibited. Located between the 48th and 60th floors of the building, the hotel is home to 180 rooms and 39 suites that all boast unobstructed views of the city.
Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten makes his debut in the city with restaurant Jean-Georges Philadelphia and the JG SkyHigh cocktail bar located on the 60th floor. Here, Foster outfitted the atrium with glass walls and a cleverly mirrored ceiling that reflects both diners and the city below.
The hotel’s wellness-focused 57th floor includes amenities like an enormous indoor pool, a wellness boutique, and the seven-treatment spa room, which features 700 pounds of crystals embedded into the space.
