Casa Adela has arrived as the newest boutique concept in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende in Guanajuato, Mexico. The countryside oasis maximizes its natural setting while also embracing a simple, artful design that surrounds the property’s centralized natural thermal spring.
Originally designed as a private residence by artist John Houshmand and New York-based architect David Howell, the onsite hacienda houses seven thoughtfully furnished guestrooms flanked by citrus courtyards and rooftop gardens. Accommodations range from the 450-square-foot Panoramic suite to the grand 1,000-square-foot Honeymoon suite, which boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, a double-facing fireplace, soaking tub, separate sitting areas, and framed mountain views. A neutral color palette and elements such as polished concrete walls allow the idyllic backdrop of citrus orchards and olive trees to take centerstage via abundant floor-to-ceiling windows and an open pool deck.
