The $4.2 billion resort development Baha Mar has arrived on the beaches of New Providence in the Bahamas. The first phase opening includes the preview of the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, Baha Mar Casino, Royal Blue Golf Club, and Baha Mar Convention, Art, and Entertainment Center.
The East and West towers of the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar house 1,800 contemporary rooms including 230 one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites. Each guestroom offers modern décor and balconies with roughly 8,500 pieces of Bahamian artwork spanning the property.
The dramatic arrival experience will feature a grand porte-cochère along with high-powered fountains shooting water 110 feet into the air. Twenty bars and restaurants will open following its official launch next month. Baha Mar’s 30,000-square-foot ESPA spa, the first Caribbean flagship, includes 24 private treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms, relaxation zones, and experience showers. The hotel manages the convention center, which spans 200,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor event space, and provides direct access to five resort pools and the Baha Mar Casino, the largest in the Caribbean at 100,000 square feet.
Phase two will be unveiled this fall with the launch of a new SLS property, while the third phase will welcome the expanded Rosewood Baha Mar in spring 2018.
