Experiential travel brand Collective Retreats has announced its arrival in the hospitality market, offering a portfolio of retreat-style accommodations that embrace their natural settings. Founded by CEO Peter Mack and COO Christina DeVito, the concept was born from a shared passion for travel and the outdoors and a desire to inject the immersive experience of the outdoors with luxury. Collective Retreats partners with landowners to maximize unique parcels of land unable to support 5-Star amenities due to lack of infrastructure or regulation with minimal, elegant accommodations.
The brand’s properties in Vail, Colorado and Yellowstone, Montana are set to open in May and June, respectively. Three new retreats will also join the lineup this summer in Sonoma, California; Hudson Valley, New York; and the Texas Hill Country.
Emphasizing a minimal material palette, the brand seeks to connect travelers with exotic locales and landscapes. Designer Cassie Novick uses a “furniture foraging” approach in crafting each outpost, populating each room with furnishings from local marketplaces, estate sales, and vintage stores. Each outpost comprises luxury canvas tents that are equipped with plush bedding, ample closet space, in-tent French press coffee bars, chandeliers, bathrooms, and private decks. Immersive, locally inspired activities and amenities are also available at each location in addition to high-quality dining and wellness concepts.
