Gourmet delicatessen concept Colette has just opened its doors on Fulham Road in the posh Chelsea section of London. Led by the Ritz London‘s former head chef Chris Hill, the eatery offers home-style cooking and a curated selection of groceries, wine, and champagne.
Designed by Colette creative director and cofounder Mira Plaquet, the store’s warm interior fuses modern and traditional aesthetics. The 860-square-foot space is anchored by a long walnut counter, displaying fresh baked goods.
“With the outstanding mix of culinary leaders in Chelsea ranging from [Gelateria] Badiani to Orée, Fulham Road was an obvious choice when choosing an area within which to make our international debut,” says Colette cofounder Dimitri Plaquet. “We believe we are bringing something slightly different to the area—encompassing both gourmet deli and wine shop functionality—and we look forward to becoming an entrenched part of the well-respected food-scene here.”
