New York-based Chinese concept RedFarm has made its international debut in London’s Theater District. The greenmarket-style dim sum eatery has been translated for the London dining crowd by Brooklyn-based architecture firm CRÈME / Jun Aizaki Architecture & Design.
Housed within a three-story building, RedFarm UK’s lower two floors are crafted with painted white brick walls and exposed wooden beams. Wooden tables and chairs are installed alongside red and white gingham fabric as well as vintage crates that evoke a classic farmhouse style. An exotic, decorative live wall functions as the focal point of the ground floor to reinforce the restaurant’s emphasis on fresh ingredients. Menus, chopsticks, candles, and flora add a dash of whimsy above cozy booths and communal tables. The uppermost level is outfitted with a style akin to a speakeasy. Clad with walls of antique wood, black lacquered ceilings, and tufted leather banquettes, the sleek bar is anchored by a marble countertop and copper accents.
