Tel Aviv’s Levinksy Market is now home to Opa, a new 35-seat plant-based restaurant characterized by a clean, European-style aesthetic. Locally based design office Craft & Bloom collaborated on Opa’s interior design alongside designer Vered Kadouri to contrast the raw vernacular of the Israeli capital’s southern neighborhoods.
The design complements the unfussy cuisine with a minimalist and locally-sourced aesthetic. Understated elegance defines the eatery, which is outfitted with an aquarium-like open kitchen and an inner patio laid with hevron stone cut just outside the city. Demonstrating the craftsmanship of local Jaffa artisans, powdercoated white brass light fixtures are installed as well to evoke a softness and intimacy.
