Milky’s, a new grab-and-go coffee concept in Toronto, embraces a handsome, minimalist aesthetic emphasized not only through a simple materiality but also a lack of furniture. Locally based design firm Batay-Csorba crafted the space with an engaging, geometric pattern across its walls as one of several efforts to infuse a sense of life beyond furniture enclaves.
Slim shelving and a small nook serve as the only surfaces available for visitors to access, while overhead lighting enhances the experience with a design that mimics the sun’s cycles. White countertops, cabinetry, and machines also provide bright accents within the space.
