Vegan Thai concept Kati has debuted in the South Lake Union section of Seattle. Locally based architecture practice goCStudio spearheaded the design of the eatery, which reflects the cuisine in its robust minimalism.
The once-dark storefront has been overhauled into a bright, open space. High-quality materials and craftsmanship further punctuate Kati’s array of small statement pieces, from under-bar coat hangers crafted from the supported steel beams to custom white oak tables. A vibrant, yellow heath tile buffet wall and bar anchor the interior, while a nearly 16-foot-tall wood wall injects warmth and texture into the space. An assortment of pendant lighting recalls the sky lantern festivals of Thailand.
