Kafe Francin has opened in Prague along the Strossmayerovo náměstí transport hub. Crafted by Czech design firm DDAANN, the 1,216-square-foot café boasts neon signs that adorn large street-facing windows.
A white metal counter anchors the interior, accented with a long upholstered bench and shelving. The entry space connects to two smaller rooms, one of which is a subterranean space outfitted with a kitchen as well as a glass wall that provides a glimpse into the onsite roastery. The additional room conveys a club-like style, appointed with a sofa and armchairs.
Along with oak flooring and a darkly stained plywood walls, glass pendant lights suspend above each table. For added intimacy, small metal lamps has been installed on the walls.
