The LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy has introduced his second F&B concept, Daymoves, located right next door to his debut restaurant and wine bar, Four Horsemen. As one of the hippest new cafes in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the space is conceived to transform into a sexy bar and club, Nightmoves, as the sun goes down, slated to open later this year.
Designed by the collaboration of Amy Butchko of New York-based Butchko & Co. and fellow local design practice the Springs Collective, the cool café features a lengthy hallway leading to the skylit interior space, lined with mirrors at its base. Equipped with a bespoke sound system that is further punctuated by a medley of primary colors, its interior is populated with vintage Italian furniture evoking the artist lofts of the 1970s, while “The pièce de résistance”, an artwork of James Murphy does the edgy, punk touch.
