New York’s newest Italian concept, Il Divo, debuts in Manhattan as a stateside extension of an original eatery in Milan. Owner Antonio Sinesi conceived the warm interior design as a love letter to the legendary Italian-American silent film actor Rudolph Valentino. Located on Upper East Side, Il Divo seeks to balance its traditional Italian dining aesthetic with an ambiance ripe with Old Hollywood glamour.
Refined and sophisticated, the 50-seat interior is decorated with antique furniture illuminated beneath the glistening chandeliers. To infuse an air of the 1920s throughout the setting, historic movie posters are featured alongside portraits of Valentino himself. In addition, wallpapers from Ralph Lauren further punctuate the space with a localized influence.
