Chef Lincoln Carson has introduced his newest dining concept, Bon Temps, in the Los Angeles Arts District. In addition to lead architect Nicole Cannon of NCA Studio, locally based design firm Klein Agency oversaw the transformation of the former Heinz loading dock into the all-day eatery.
The contemporary, indoor-outdoor eatery pays homage to materiality and function by embracing the history of the space with a minimalist palette and reclaimed elements. A custom, 30-foot-long Carrara bar topped with marble heralds a partitioned display that showcases pastries in the morning and a raw bar throughout the day.
Marble also abounds in the dining room, where warm cognac-toned leather banquettes are installed. Two kitchen spaces dedicated to savory dishes and confectionary treats, respectively, flank the dining room, while floor-to-ceiling windows maintain a visual connection to the 45-seat outdoor alleyway.
