Oakland, California-based firm Arcsine has unveiled the new Mediterranean concept, Meso, in San Jose, California. The 200-seat cozy eatery is the latest F&B space from the restaurant group Left Bank, and crafted with the studio’s signature Method Design, which weaves Mediterranean influences across the interior.
Decorative blue tile inlays even welcome guests, while terrazzo wraps the nearby bar wall, as a custom pattern of white metal screens envelops the overhead space. A warm, earthen palette adorns the sunny concept alongside cool hues of blue. Two dried olive trees and mirrored alcoves flank the communal table situated beside the bar, while Spanish moss, air plants, and succulents populate the dining room to establish an atmosphere akin to a Mediterranean courtyard. A private dining room is also housed beyond an entryway lined with custom millwork, in addition to the outdoor patio that is behind the sliding accordion doors, and populated by French-inspired round-back metal chairs, custom metal tables, and string lights.
