Washington, DC-based design firm //3877 has partnered with South Carolina-based firm, David Thompson Architect for the development of the Oak Steakhouse in Alexandria, Virginia. Nestled into the Old Town neighborhood of DC suburbs, the new concept conveys a rustic aesthetic complementing the historic character of its surroundings.
The cozy interiors are of the eatery is lined with reclaimed wood and exposed brick that infuse warmth, while a custom wine wall serves as its key focal point. Banquettes inside are lined with burgundy leather with exposed nail-head trim details, complementing the rawness of the suspended candelabras, and rough-hewn wood beams. Conceived akin to a collegiate library, the 110-seat dining room features a window into the kitchen outfitted on its rear end, which infuse some live-action into the atmosphere. In addition, the steakhouse is also home to a 36-seat outdoor patio as an option for warmer days.
