Destinations Hotels will complete an $80 million renovation of the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center in San Diego.
Located in the Mission Valley area, the hotel was originally built by local developer Charles H. Brown in 1953 as a 46-room motor inn. Now owned by Lowe Enterprises and AECOM Capital, the property is managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, Lowe’s hospitality management subsidiary.
Headed by Long Beach, California-based HSF Concepts 4 and global design firm Gensler, transformation of the 62-year-old, 688-room resort will be complete in early 2018. At that time, it will offer more than 200,000 square feet of meeting space, three new restaurants situated in a 10,000-square-foot F&B facility, a 5,000-square-foot spa, and an 11,000-square-foot lobby with an arrival bar.
