Me by Meliá is set to expand its footprint into the Middle East for the first time with the launch of Me Dubai, scheduled for the end of 2018. Designed by late architect Zaha Hadid, the Me Dubai will arrive inside of the staggering Opus building within the Burj Khalifa district of the city’s downtown. Comprising two towers linked in the form of a cube carved with central void, the Opus totals 250,000 square feet.
Spread across 19 floors, the hotel’s 93 guestrooms and suites will also be joined by 98 serviced apartments. Handpicked or designed by Hadid, dramatic, signature furniture pieces will punctuate the arrival experience in the lobby as well as a vertical café, lounges, and reception area. The hotel will also be home to 15 restaurants including the contemporary Japanese robatayaki concept ROKA. Designed by Noriyoshi Muramatsu of Tokyo-based practice Studio Glitt, ROKA will be anchored by a central robata grill.
