Located in the downtown corridor of Round Rock, Texas, the Ruby Hotel is a 36-key boutique concept crafted by design firm Page in homage to a love letter that was discovered on the property. The letter urges a young woman named Ruby to stay home from a dance instead of going out without the writer.
Page reimagined the property’s original ranch house, which now hosts a cocktail lounge, library, and conference space. The hotel features a tone-on-tone color palette that draws influence from illustrated garden parties and the colorways of Wes Anderson films that instills a sense of timelessness.
Inspired by the linear layout of an Eames House, each accommodation is outfitted with saturated tonalities, upscale fabrics, and balconies that frame views of the creek. Hues of azure blue or Kelly green adorn guestrooms interiors as a backdrop for bespoke walnut or steel casework. A peek-a-boo window in each shower also infuses natural light into bathrooms, which include coral and ochre tiling.
