The Josie, a Noble House Hotel, has arrived in Rossland, British Columbia as the newest boutique ski-in, ski-out hotel in North America. Located at the threshold of the forthcoming RED Mountain Resort, the hotel is the first stop along Canada’s Powder Highway.
Dallas-based firms FAB Studio and Design DMU were charged with the design of the 106-room property. Each one-bedroom suite is immersed in the outdoors with earthy tones, rich paneling recycled from local wood, and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame alpine views. Luxe room elements include plush bedding, heated floors, cozy lounge areas, and spacious bathrooms with deep soaking tubs.
The Velvet serves as the hotel’s signature dining concept, complete with outdoor fireplaces, while a sprawling terrace acts as the centerpiece of the property’s 1,516 square feet of flexible function space. The hotel spa is set to join the lineup of onsite amenities beginning in winter 2019 with the outdoor, slopeside pool slated to debut next summer.
