The Hoxton, Downtown LA has debuted as the ninth property in the brand’s hotel portfolio, with interiors spearheaded by in-house design team, Ennismore Design Studio.
Located within a 10-story Beaux Arts landmark first constructed in 1922 that used to serve as the Los Angeles Railway Building, the new Hoxton location is crafted in a convivial urban escape-style. Spanning the hotel’s 174 accommodations are four categories, snug, cozy, roomy, and biggy, all featuring French design principles such as chevron floors, wall panelings and burl timber materials, while rug patterns and handmade bathroom tiles make strong references to the Mexican culture.
For public spaces, Ennismore collaborated with the design team of Soho House, that resulted in spaces populated by palm motifs, geometric floral patterns, and furniture shapes reminiscent of the Art Deco, and Bauhaus eras, complemented by a vibrant color palette throughout.
Among the F&B options is the all-day concept Sibling Rival, complete with a coffee and ice cream bar. The open-air Mediterranean restaurant, Pilot, is located on the rooftop, while the basement bar will round out the onsite venues upon its opening in 2020.
