The Equinox, a Luxury Collection Golf Resort and Spa, in Manchester, Vermont is set to emerge from its property-wide refresh next month. Carey Watermark Investors spearheaded the renovation alongside Dallas-based Studio 11 Design to accentuate its classic New England identity.
Public spaces including the lobby will be reimagined with restored 19th-century chandeliers and other historic furnishings. The onsite library will remain a fixture of the resort, complete with an expansive hardwood dining table and lounge chairs accenting smaller gathering tables. The signature restaurant Marsh Tavern will evoke a more contemporary energy with modern light fixtures, elegant seating, and round tables. The Chop House will also show off a new look with intimate banquettes lining the walls, while the Falcon Bar will boast new wallpaper, seating, and upholstery against a deep wooden backdrop. Abstract falcon imagery will also punctuate the bar.
Each of the property’s 147 guestrooms and suites have been revamped with new carpeting, drapery, plush couches, lounge chairs, furnishings, hardwood box bed frames, and tables with dark wooden bases topped with marble. Wallpaper casts corridors in shades of blue and gray, while a new, neutral color palette with green accents honors the regional landscape.
The 14,000-square-foot Spa at the Equinox will be revamped with soft wood flooring and a wood-accented reception desk. Renovated hot tubs will be installed alongside new lounge furniture. All 18,500 square feet of indoor-outdoor venue space received upgrades with artwork in the corridors to accent carpeting and paint with blue and slate tones.
