The Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa has opened in the Raa Atoll lagoon in the northern Maldives archipelago. Home to 120 villas, the concept radiates luxury with a design executed by Singapore-based architect Edward David Poole.
Boasting a 20-hectares island and surrounded by over 1.7 km of house reef, the villas are divided into 11 different distinct configurations, peaking with the 9,700-square-foot Royal Beach Villa where lavish interiors abound with materials like bamboo, natural stone, and “Langhi Langhi” leaves that reflect the tropical vibes all around.
The resort also offers a wide range of facilities such as the Emerald Spa with Thai and Balinese treatments in the privacy of its 10 air-conditioned bungalows; the Water Sport Center; the big Sport Center with tennis and paddle courts and, an in-door gym fully equipped with Technogym equipment. In addition, there is also a private marina onsite with direct access for seaplanes.
