The Texican Court motor lodge in Irving, Texas is set to join the Valencia Group portfolio next month across the way from the Irving Convention Center. Designed by Rottet Studio, the new concept will open as part of the Las Colinas Urban Center.
The Spanish Mission-style design will subtly deliver classic Texas references along with a unique blend of Mexican and Lone Star culture. In addition to 152 retro-inspired accommodations, the hotel will be home to 3,500 square feet of indoor-outdoor meeting and event space including the Serape boardroom, the Little Chapel, and three distinct courtyards. A pool, rocking chairs, and large wood-burning fire pits will establish an inviting ambiance in outdoor environments as well. The Two Mules Cantina will greet guests with a stucco façade and glass partitions installed at the front and back of the two-story eatery, which will also be outfitted with large clerestory windows on either side of the building. A large fireplace and central bar will serve as the backdrop of the space as well.
