The Ingleside Inn, one of Palm Springs’ first resort-style retreats has commenced a major revitalization set for completion in late October 2017. Led by Napa-based interior design studio Shopworks, the restoration will pay homage to longtime owner Melvyn Haber. The Ingleside Inn is home to 30 suites and villas as well as an acre of manicured grounds.
The resort’s 1920s roots will be honored along with its Spanish Colonial Revival styles. White walls will be offset with a dark-wood trim and accented by a palette of gold, shell pink, understated teal, and apricot. All accommodations will be outfitted with custom headboards crafted in Mexico as well as bespoke furnishings, period-inspired lighting, oriental rugs, and mint-tiled bathrooms.
The onsite restaurant Melvyn’s will be restored to its original splendor down to bar and bathroom tiling. Striped awnings and an updated patio will also be included to establish a seamless flow across the venue.
