YTL Hotels has announced the launch of the Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui on Thailand’s eastern coast. Spread across 58 acres of a former coconut plantation, the resort overlooks the tropical setting’s turquoise water and oceanfront amenities. Home to 175 suites and pool villas, the property’s contemporary architecture pays homage to the heritage of the site with extensive coconut elements and natural materials like ceramics.
Onsite dining amenities include interactive eatery Shook!; the laidback Thai concept Sea Salt; the poolside bar Tides; and the circular bar and lounge One Rai. The resort’s signature, elevated Thai restaurant Pak Thai overlooks the swim reef from its secluded, individual dining terraces.
The 40,900-square-foot Spa Village Koh Samui is outfitted with eight treatment suites, three massage pavilions, a yoga pavilion, health bar, and lap pool lined with cabanas. Additional wellness options at the Muay Thai Gym, which includes an indoor kickboxing ring, and the Swim Reef that teems with more than 50 species of fish.
