Pod Hotels is set to debut its fifth outpost, Pod Times Square, in the heart of Manhattan this fall with designs from New York-based interior designer Vanessa Guilford. The microhotel currently boasts the highest percentage of occupancy in the BD Hotels portfolio.
Spread across 28 floors, the forthcoming Pod Times Square will comprise 665 guestrooms that will average approximately 115 square feet with queen and bunkbed configurations. Built-in storage and new technology will be integrated into the design. The property will also host 45 Pod Pads, which will vary from 600 to 800 square feet, for those seeking long-term accommodations. A 60-foot-tall glass vestibule will welcome guests upon arrival before accessing the third-floor lobby via glass elevator. The elevator shaft will be adorned with murals from Brooklyn artist James Rizzi.
Major Food Group will launch two F&B concepts within the hotel including an indoor-outdoor Tiki Bar in the lobby and the Italian venue Parm on street level.
