Capella Hotel Group has announced that its new brand, Patina Hotels & Resorts, will debut in the Maldives in Q4 of 2020. The Patina Maldives, Fari Islands will be the first in the rollout, with properties in Ubud, Bali and Sanya, China also in the works.
Conceived to foster a sense of community and honor the culture of each locale, the lifestyle brand is geared toward independent, eco-conscious travelers.
The Maldives resort will be crafted by Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan of Studio MK27. In addition to vibrant social environments that organically flow into one another, the outpost will comprise 90 beach and water villas, ranging from one to three bedrooms, as well as 20 645-square-foot beach suites.
