The tech capital of Menlo Park, California is the site of the luxury, 61-room Park James Hotel, the latest property from broughtonHOTELS.
San Francisco designer Parisa O’Connell wove in subtle allusions to the region’s Irish heritage. The openness of the outdoors is also expressed in the design with natural wood elements, rich textures, and luminous lighting installations. The airy lobby welcomes visitors with the phrase “No Strangers Here, Only New Friends” etched across the wall of the entryway, which leads to an area where work and play are organically integrated. An indoor-outdoor bar is attached to the lobby as well. The hotel’s signature restaurant, O+V Courtyard, is outfitted with an outdoor lounge that features movable seating and communal tables.
In addition to the Park James’ 1,200 square feet of meeting space, personalized guestrooms included elegant furnishings and fabrics against a soothing, earthen color palette. Oversized windows will wrap each room, with suites boasting 180-degree views, Murphy beds, and open living spaces.
