Gensler and Wilson Associates have completed work on the new Omni Frisco Hotel in Frisco, Texas. Housed within the mixed-use complex the Star in Frisco, the 16-story hotel is now the tallest building in the city and is the official hotel of the Dallas Cowboys.
Drawing inspiration from the local setting, climate, and Texas culture, the design weaves regional nuances throughout the 300-room property’s interior, including allusions to the Dallas Cowboys. Mixed metals and walnut are combined for an upscale appearance, while warm, neutral tones in rooms reference Texas agriculture. Texas limestone, wood, bronze, and high-performance glass complement the surrounding buildings. Custom, sculptural lighting enhances the visual experience.
The property features a slew of distinctive amenities such as a fourth-floor rooftop pool and viewing deck and a 13,000-square-foot grand ballroom with direct access to the Ford Center stadium. A lounge, lobby bar, the Neighborhood Services restaurant on the first floor are each designed with outdoor spaces that extend into the development’s bustling plaza as well.
