Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced plans to launch a new luxury property in the Chinese city of Dalian in the northeastern Liaodong Peninsula. The Four Seasons Hotel Dalian will debut in the city’s redeveloped financial and commercial hub, and feature designs from NBBJ Shanghai and HBA Singapore. Construction on the property is set to begin later this year, and is poised for completion in 2020.
Located in the Donggang, or East Harbor, inside a mixed-use tower, the hotel will feature office space and expansive views of the historic port and downtown core. The 250-key hotel will house a pool, fitness center and spa, and meeting and event spaces including several ballrooms and meeting rooms.
Tokyo-based design practice Strickland will lead the design efforts for the onsite dining facilities, which will comprise a hotel bar, lobby lounge, deli, and a pastry shop with an outdoor terrace. Guests will have access to a slew of public amenities from dining and retail to tourist attractions.
