Mosaic Hotel Group (MHG) has announced the addition of La Casa Rodavento to its global portfolio following a recent revitalization. Housed within a colonial-style mansion in Valle de Bravo, Mexico, the hotel is one of three boutique Valle de Bravo properties launching under MHG in 2018. The Intown Rodavento will arrive in August, while the Hotel Rodavento is set to complete renovations by the end of the year.
Mexico City-based firms Gomez Crespo Arquitectos and Gaxiola Arquitectos spearheaded the refurbishment of La Casa Rodavento. Classical architectural elements like high wooden beam roofs and hardwood floors are featured throughout the 12,000-square-foot site. Interior updates from Mariana Valero of Guadalajara-based design practice Amass & G highlight Mexican contemporary art, establishing a colorful sense of place. Ranging in size from 217 to 500 square feet, the hotel’s seven suites emphasize comfort with king beds, luxury linens, and private baths.
The specialty restaurant Nuestro is home to an intimate bar, and includes a 16-seat indoor dining room and a 25-person patio. Among the additional public spaces is an adults-only rooftop lounge as well as a swimming pool area appointed with loungers, deck chairs, and tables.
