The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe has announced the launch of its new luxury guest amenity, the Lake Club, the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. Spearheaded by Clare Walton and Jennifer Loving from the locally based practice Walton Architecture + Engineering (Walton AE), the multilevel venue’s design maximizes its waterside location with al fresco dining and ample leisure and water activities.
The space is crafted with natural materials including ledgestone and cedar wood to offset the contemporary lines of the steel and glass volume, which frames the natural setting with floor-to-ceiling windows on all sides. A clean, modern alpine aesthetic characterizes the interior, while turquoise elements contrast white accents, a nod to the lake’s prominent color. Warm, earth tones complement walnut and western red cedar, echoing the region’s landscape. A slew of curated artwork also anchors the Lake Club for a sense of place.
The Lake Club hosts an indoor gathering area and bar, a ground-floor dining terrace, upper-level dining deck, and expansive lawn with direct beach and pier access. Outdoor amenities also include a spa, firepit, luxurious showers, and changing and storage facilities.
