San Francisco–based Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has officially inaugurated its fourth property in Miami: the Kimpton Hotel Palomar South Beach. Local architect and designer Kobi Karp imagined the property’s exterior, while Toronto-based Chapi Chapo Design crafted the interiors.
South Beach’s past, present, and future collide to create a unique and inviting portrait of the Magic City. Yacht-like interiors complement the hotel’s surroundings and the neighborhood’s nautical roots, in tandem with free-form shapes and graphic fabrics. The lobby welcomes visitors with ornate tiling, custom light installations, and abstract artworks.
Forthcoming F&B concepts include the indoor-outdoor Northern Italian eatery Osteria Morini and the private, 6,000-square-foot roof deck. The alfresco venue will span two floors, encompassing a pooldeck appointed with spacious cabanas and daybeds.
The water-inspired theme pervades through all 96 guestrooms and suites, where modern lines and refined textures are balanced with warm wood wallcoverings and subtle references to local Art Deco architecture. Private balconies and large terraces that boast expansive views of Sunset Harbour are attached to several accommodations. (The signature, one-of-a-kind Sunset Harbour Balcony Corner King even features an 800-square-foot terrace.)
