Kempinski has announced plans to expand its luxury portfolio with the launch of the Apurva Kempinski Bali, set to open in the fourth quarter of this year. The opening will become the brand’s second Indonesian property and its first on the tropical island. Melbourne-based architecture firm Denton Corker Marshall will partner Trivium Design Group to craft the property with an Indonesian-inspired design aesthetic.
Set amid the cliffs and beaches of southern Bali, the hotel will house 475 guestrooms, suites, and villas in addition to five F&B spaces and a cigar and shisha lounge. An oceanfront spa and fitness center will be installed along with a nearly 200-foot-long pool, children’s pool, and family club. Featured among the property’s meeting spaces will be an 11,600-square-foot pillar-free, ocean-facing grand ballroom and a 23,680-square-foot oceanfront lawn.
