The JW Marriott Chicago has tapped studio Looney & Associates to oversee the redesign of its 610 accommodations as a part of its 10th anniversary celebration next year. Slated to wrap by spring 2020, updates will include the 29 suites, as well as the corridors of the hotel.
Expressed through rectilinear lines, the motif of the luxury Pullman railcars- that are indigenous to Chicago- will punctuate the revamped guestrooms. while soft curves are reminiscent of travel paths of the past. The new modern light fixtures, layered metal finishes, plush wovens, and dark woods will recall the forms of conductors’ lanterns with a palette of soothing tones. In addition to guestrooms, suites and corridors, the onsite executive lounge will also receive a facelift, inspired by the liveliness and intrigue of the Pullman’s iconic club car.
