Aparium Hotel Group has launched the Hu. Hotel within the former Tennessee Trust building in the heart of downtown Memphis. Brooklyn, New York-based firm Home Studios designed the property in homage to the building’s diverse architectural roots as well as the cultural heritage of Memphis.
The 110-room hotel serves as anchor for both travelers and the local community, complete with a modern design representative of the city’s future. Artwork injects a local flair, with the lobby in particular serving as a rotating art gallery. The lobby is also home to a F&B option that doubles as a coffee bar by day and a cocktail lounge by night. The contemporary Hu. Diner will also be housed onsite. Set to open next month, the 78-seat restaurant will also be equipped with a patio. A lively rooftop space also crowns the property, which includes more than 3,500 square feet of event space ranging from the ballroom to two boardrooms.
Nearly 45 suites will be featured in the hotel’s guestroom lineup. All accommodations are crafted with soft details to complement the light and airy ambiance, while also contrasting raw elements such as stained oak, brass, copper, and white Carrara marble.
