Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) ushers Kimpton Nine Zero into a new era with bold, seductive interiors, using a modern approach while celebrating Boston’s storied history.
For the 190 guestrooms, touches of Americana join custom, cognac-colored leather headboards, ultra-soft linens, and luxe Eames chairs. Brass accents, subtle shades of gray, and a moss green hue complete the decadent look. In the 1,065-square-foot penthouse, floor-to-ceiling windows provide views of Boston. Art pieces include love notes between John and Abigail Adams—scripted above the leather headboard—and black and white photographs. Highlighting a residential feel, the space also houses a vintage-inspired billiards table, record player, telescope, wet bar, and dining area.
In the new Living Room, velvets, detailed tweeds, metallic finishes, and cocoon-like chairs add an air of sophistication. The 1630 pop-up shop is reflective of the hotel’s core philosophy, which reinterprets the past with sophistication and edge. Vintage apparel and curiosities can be found at the shop, as well as items made by New England artisans. The hotel also boasts a 2,400-square-foot private event and workspace, while meeting rooms nod to Nine Zero’s Boston Brahmin spirit. In the fall of this year, the hotel will reveal Better Sorts Social Club, a cocktail-forward concept that further elevates the Nine Zero experience.
