A Belvedere Property Management, the Islas Secas Private Island & Reserve is set to debut in Panama in January 2019. New York- and San Francisco-based architecture practice Hart Howerton will handle the property’s architecture, while New York-based designer Tom Scheerer will oversee interiors.
The retreat will be appointed with four casita sites with nine luxury guestrooms that sleep up to 18 guests. Each casita will evoke colonial beauty reinterpreted with a contemporary, beachside elegance. The upscale seaside restaurant Terraza will offer a dramatic dining environment, and feature a Hemingway-inspired bar and lounge. A boutique spa and four-bedroom villa residence that boasts a pool will both debut onsite by the end of 2019.
In an effort to preserve the archipelago’s ecosystems and beauty, all operations will be fully sustainable through the use of solar power and extensive composting.
