Hard Rock International has announced plans to expand its footprint in the Big Easy with the launch of the Hard Rock Hotel New Orleans and the Residences at the Hard Rock Hotel New Orleans. Located in the city’s historic French Quarter, the 18-story property is set to debut in spring 2019, with Julie Choi from New York-based firm Wilson Associates overseeing interior design and Hank Baker of Louisiana-based Harry Baker Smith Architects leading the project’s architecture.
Home to 350 accommodations and 62 one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences, the building will frame expansive views via terraces or balconies—some of which will overlook parade routes. In addition to an exhibition space for Hard Rock’s signature memorabilia collection, the property will feature 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including four dynamic meeting rooms and two ballrooms. Locally inspired F&B concepts like an upscale seafood restaurant will open onsite as well. A lobby bar and rooftop bar and lounge space will also be installed.
