The Evripidis Hotel in Athens, Greece has unveiled a new rooftop concept following a redesign from local firm Fluo. Spanning nearly 1,600 square feet, the Art Deco-inspired space comprises a bar and breakfast area that overlooks the city’s Psiri district as well as the Acropolis.
Marble spans much of the interior in reference to the material’s longstanding history throughout Athens. Tiling and wooden planks add a sense of opulence, while gold-painted metal arches reference Neoclassical patterns. Pastel-hued seating areas offset the backdrop of gray neighboring buildings. A glass partition across the terrace also forms a sunroom. A central water fountain anchors the design in homage to historic Greek fonts as well.
