Crowne Plaza has launched its newest location within the $200 million mixed-use development Riverside Village, which spans 30 acres of North Augusta, South Carolina. Spanning five stories, the Crowne Plaza North Augusta houses 180 guestrooms and suites designed following the company’s WorkLife Room ethos. Atlanta-based firms Rabun Rasche Rector Reece and Wakefield Beasley & Associates collaborated on the hotel architecture, while fellow Atlanta practice Sims Patrick Studio oversaw the interior design.
Overlooking the Savannah River, rooms are crafted to serve the evolving needs of modern business travelers, mixing comfort, connectivity, and flexibility. Angled beds are attached to padded headboards outfitted with integrated LED lighting, outlets, and USB ports on each side. A moveable table is also stationed beside each room’s signature loveseat.
The first floor of the property welcomes visitors with the wood-fired grill restaurant Salt + Marrow Kitchen, which frames views of nearby SRP Park. The attached Salt + Marrow Parlor Bar serves as a gathering place for locals and visitors alike with rugged leather and warm wood décor. Additional F&B concept Grillworks features an aluminum wood-fired grill equipped with signature cast aluminum crankwheels, while the top floor houses the upscale rooftop bar Jackson’s Bluff Canteen & Lookout. Included among the hotel’s 11,000 square feet of interior meeting and event space is the 5,400-square-foot ballroom, which opens to an outdoor event space easily partitioned into three private bays. An additional 6,000 square feet of outdoor function space is also available.
